dreaming about play… is the third book in a series exploring childhood memory and emotion. Each time I create a piece about my childhood, it becomes an opportunity for me to look at it from a different perspective – to reframe my experience in a new and different way. I get to re-visit, revise, and re-tell a slightly different story. In this book the repetition of images, the circles, and the subdued palette, give the playscapes a dreamlike quality, a looking-back feel, where memory is imperfect and substitutes the familiar when it cannot recall the specific.
